2. Strolling along the Adoquín

3. Enjoy the diversity of beaches
The main attractions of Puerto Escondido are its beaches, so you can not leave without visiting them and knowing what makes each of them special. Among the main ones are:
Playa Bacocho. It is one of the longest and calmest beaches in the area, its waters are warm, deep blue, with strong waves and grayish sand. On this beach, you can enjoy a quiet walk in the afternoons and beautiful sunsets.
Playa Coral. It has beautiful turquoise blue waters, with a calm tide and spectacular vegetation, it is an excellent option for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing.
Playa Carrizalillo. It has blue-green waters, low tide, and mangroves, being an excellent option for diving or snorkeling. Near the beach, there are several restaurant options with great gastronomic offers.
Playa Puerto Angelito. Its sand is fine and white, with warm, shallow, greenish-blue waters. It is considered a natural pool made up of underwater landscapes composed of flora, fauna, and rocky bottoms.
Playa Manzanillo. Swimming and snorkeling can be practiced here due to its shallow waters and moderate waves. It has temperate green waters and fine white sand.
Bahía Principal. Its temperature is temperate and with regular waves, where sport fishing is practiced, so it is normal to find various marine species in its waters.
Playa Zicatela. It is one of the most famous beaches in Puerto Escondido thanks to the practice and surf tournaments worldwide and has a swell that reaches a great height.
It has a walkway with restaurants, bars, and places where nightlife is one of its main attractions.
4. Observe bioluminescence in La Laguna de Manialtepec
If you want to know a magical and unique place on the planet, you must visit La Laguna de Manialtepec and enjoy the bioluminescence tour, a natural wonder that is achieved thanks to the luminous plankton in the area.
5. Visiting the viewpoints
Puerto Escondido has two viewpoints to observe the spectacular scenery offered by the area, known as El Mirador de las Tortugas and El Mirador del Faro de La Barra.
El Mirador las Tortugas: it is a quiet and relaxing place located between Carrizalillo Beach and Bacocho Beach, it can be reached by walking through a path.
El Mirador del Faro de la Barra: also known as El Faro Punta Escondida, it is a small lighthouse located at the end of La Punta de Zicatela and before reaching La Barra, excellently located to enjoy nature and sunsets.
6. Visiting Zicatela Beach at night
Another great experience you can have in Puerto Escondido is to visit Zicatela Beach at nightfall, a space with a bohemian atmosphere, made up of different bars and places with live music, excellent traditional dishes, and a good cocktail or coffee.
There are also seasonal events that take place on the shore of the beach.
7. Visit the different restaurants in the area
Oaxaca is known for having one of the best gastronomies in Mexico and it is precisely Puerto Escondido, a place known for its diversity of restaurants full of traditional national and international flavors.
